The San Antonio Zoo
The San Antonio Zoo holds one of the largest collections of animals in the
United States, with over 3,500 animals of 750 different species.
Fun for the whole family, the zoo has many different habitats for animals,
including the Hixon Bird House, the African Water Hole and Amazonia, which
holds more than 30 species of tropical animals, including anteaters, sloths
and even toucans.
In other areas, visitors can see animals of every sort, from monkeys and lions to snakes and tropical fish.
The zoo also hosts seasonal events and educational programs for kids, like
overnight camps and story time.
