Six Flags Fiesta Texas

Six Flags Fiesta Texas is a family theme park located 15 minutes from downtown San Antonio.

A theme park designed for families, Six Flags Fiesta Texas has something for every member of the family - kiddie rides for the children, massive roller coasters for the daring, a water park for water lovers and shows for those who like to sit back and relax.

The park is divided into six themed areas: Armadillo Beach, Crackaxle Canyon, Fiesta Bay Boardwalk, Los Festivales, Rockville and Spassburg. Each section has a variety of rides, food booths and shows.

The shows, many of which are musicals, change periodically, and can include anything from magic and acrobat performances to improvisation and impersonator shows.

For roller coaster enthusiasts, Six Flags Fiesta Texas offers the Rattler, one of the largest wooden roller coasters in the world. The Superman Krypton Coaster is one of the park's newer attractions, and is the only floorless roller coaster in the Southwest. The Boomerang allows it passengers to experience déjà vu, taking them on a whirling series of loops and turns, and then going back the same way it came, backwards.

Armadillo Beach, the water park, allows visitors to cool off from the hot summer heat by playing in a five-story interactive water tree house, swimming in a wave pool shaped like Texas or riding in a tube in the White Water Canyon, a river complete with rapids and geysers.

Park customers have the opportunity to meet Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety Bird and the rest of the Looney Tunes crew, and the day ends with the Lone Star Spectacular, a laser and fireworks show projected on the quarry wall.
